Centre for Bio design and Diagnostics (CBDD) has been established as a niche centre of THSTI. The primary mission is to promote science and application related to affordable implants, devices, in-vitro diagnostics and imaging. The centre will promote an effective translational route of basic findings ultimately into routine applications of major importance, through a multidisciplinary approach, combining new bio markers, novel technological concepts and clinical expertise. Major areas of research in the field of in-vitro diagnostics will include protein and antibody engineering, detection technologies and concepts, nucleic acid diagnostics, new clinical markers, decentralized diagnostics (Point-of-Care), bio-organic chemistry diagnostic technologies, bio-affinity test concepts and systems, micro-fluidics, miniaturization, different reporter alternatives and multiplexing.
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the following positions in this multi-institutional partnership program on in-vitro diagnostics:
1) Research Scientist ‘C’ (Project)
Consolidated emolument Rs. 50,000/- p.m.
2) Fellowships (JRF/SRF) for PhD programme positions
(emoluments as per extant orders followed by THSTI)
3) Administrative Officer
(Personnel & Administration)
Rs. 15600-39100 + GP 6600.
4) Innovation awards
Award Amount @ Rs. 40,000 per month
