Yantriks Jobs in Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2011

INDIAN COAST GUARD

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) is a branch of the Indian Armed Forces. Its mission is the protection of India's maritime interests and maritime law enforcement with jurisdiction over both territorial and international waters.

ICG was formally established on 18th August 1978 as an armed force of the Union by the Coast Guard Act, 1978. It operates under the Department of Defence of the Union Ministry of Defence.

The Coast Guard works in close cooperation with the Indian Navy, Department of Fisheries, Department of Revenue (Customs) and the Central and State police forces. The ICG is generally headed by a naval officer of the rank of Vice-Admiral.

Applications are invited from male Indian Nationals possesing educational qualifications and age, for recruitment to the post of Yantriks in the Indian Coast Guard, and Armed Force of the Union for 02/2011 Batch :

Yantriks in the Pay Scale : Rs. 5200 - 20200 with Rs.2400 Grade Pay, Qualification: Matriculate with three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Age : Born between 01 Aug 89 to 31 Jul 93.

The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years of OBC candidates.

Walk-In-Test and Interview : Registration of candidates will be between 0800 hrs and 1100 hrs on 26th March 2011 at various places and centers. The written Test/ Interview will be conducted on 26th and 27 March, 2011.
