Indian School of Mines (ISM) is a fully residential and co-educational university located in the mineral-rich belt of India in the city of Dhanbad, Jharkhand. It was established in 1926 on the lines of Royal School of Mines, London and in 1967, ISM was converted into an autonomous institution with the Deemed-to-be University status. Today, it is a multi-disciplinary institute catering to a wide range of engineering and scientific disciplines and is considered among the best engineering institutes in the country. It was offered the tag of reputed '"IIT" in year 2000 (before IIT Roorkee), but due to some problem, it could not become IIT. But again the mission for converting it to IIT has been started ISM alumni have held key positions in the biggest of the companies in India like SAIL, CIL, ONGC, NTPC, Reliance Industries Ltd, and UCIL.The institute admits students through the Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE).

Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Full Time)

Eligibility:
A Bachelor’s degree after (10+2) in any discipline from a recognized institution, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA {45% in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST and DA (Differently Abled Categories*)}. For Honours graduates the aggregate will include marks of both Honours and Pass Papers. Candidates appearing for the final bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply.
